Hollow Easter eggs

Surprise and delight kids with Hollow Easter eggs. The inside of the egg becomes a miniature model that will fascinate young crafters.
What you'll need:
- Raw eggs
- A strong needle
- Manicure or other small scissors
- Tiny plastic animals or cut outs from wrapping paper
- A tiny bit of Easter grass
- Assorted odds and ends
How to make it:
- With a strong pin, poke a needle into the end of a raw egg, and then snip a hole into the egg about as large as a nickel.
- Rinse the egg and allow it to dry. A bit of lace or rick rack can be glued around the edge to strengthen it and tidy it up.
- Now the rest is up to the imagination. The inside of the egg can be made into a tiny world with cotton ball clouds and Easter grass with the addition of a tiny plastic rabbit, or some little cut outs stuck in with play dough or fun tack.
- The outside of the egg can be left plain or decorated with stickers or markers. Gluing torn tissue paper pieces to the outside can make the egg much stronger.
Tips:
Lots of odds and ends can be used to make these eggs. An adult can do the snipping, then children can take over.
