What you'll need:

  • 1/4” wide x 8" long ribbon
  • Paper scissors
  • Pencil

  • Double-sided padded tape
  • White glitter
  • Hot glue gun
  • Pattern

How to make it:

Step 1: Template Cutout

  1. Trace and cut out all gingerbread house pattern on colored cardstock. For the house pattern, use a folded piece of cardstock, matching it up to the "fold line" indicated on the template.
  2. Place double-sided padded tape on the inside of the roof and place the roof on top of the house card.

Step 2: Icing the Gingerbread House

  1. Pipe along edges of  house, roof, windows, and door using white 3-D fabric paint.
  2. Sprinkle with white glitter and let dry.
  3. Decorate rest of the house using a colored 3-D pearl paint. We dotted along the windows, edges, and roof.
  4. Sprinkle with white glitter and let dry.
  5. Repeat the steps with the other 3-D colored paints. Use one color at a time and let dry in between each color.
  6. Place small drops of 3-D white pearl paint on roof and sprinkle tiny beads on top.
  7. Sparkle with more white glitter.
  8. Have an adult cut out all windows on front of card with a utility knife (recommeded: X-Acto knife).

Step 3: Ribbon Bows

  1. Tie a bow at the center of the 1/4" ribbon.
  2. Hot glue the ends of the ribbon to the back/top centre of roof.

  • Substitute tiny beads for different colored glitter.
