Clown around with this Kool-Aid canister Ring Toss game for kids' clown parties, summer afternoons or rainy days. Easy to create and fun to play.

What you'll need:

  • Kool-Aid canisters, washed and dry
  • Markers
  • 2 Large red pom poms for each clown
  • 2 Large (about 40 MM) Wiggle eyes for each clown
  • Large round items to trace for hat and ring (such as a very large can)
  • Navy blue felt
  • Scissors
  • Tacky glue
  • Cardboard from an old box
  • Pencil or pen

How to make it:

  1. Cut a large circle out of felt. Make a slit towards the middle only going half way across the circle.
  2. Bend the circle into a cone shape that will fit the clown's head. Glue the cone shape together and on top of the clown.
  3. Glue on wiggle eyes.
  4. Glue on the red pom pom nose and a larger pom pom on the hat.
  5. Make several clowns for your game.
  6. Trace around a large circular item on the cardboard.
  7. Trace around a smaller circular item on the inside of the first circle. This will make the ring to toss.
  8. Cut out the ring on the outside line and the inside line.
  9. Cut out several rings and decorate with markers.
  10. Enjoy playing ring toss with your clowns.
