Dancing Cucumber
Difficulty: Easy
Parental supervision is recommended

Need more veggies? Then why not decorate a room with a Veggie Tales Dancing Cucumber. Kids start with corrugated plastic and end up with a fun new friend.
What you'll need:
- Green corrugated plastic or any color you wish to use
- "Painters" paint markers in a variety of colors
- Scissors (you may need to help the child cut!)
- Pencil
- Construction paper in a variety of colors
- Double stick tape
- Plastic lanyard (Rexlace)
How to make it:
- Let the child draw a picture on the corrugated plastic. Make sure they draw the picture on the plastic the lines in it are horizontal. This is so you can run the lanyard through it and be able to hang on a door or wall.
- If the corrugated plastic is too hard for them to cut out, then an adult may wish to cut it for them. Round all corners. Corrugated plastic can be sharp if cut to a point, please be careful.
- Have the child draw any accessories on the construction paper and cut out.
- Use the double stick tape to adhere the accessories to the plastic.
- Use the paint markers to draw anything on the plastic that they wish.
Tips:
- You can also use regular cardboard and paint it in place of the corrugated plastic.
- Corrugated plastic is made by several manufacturers. It is known as Stratocore or Coreplast, along with other names. One parent found 24"x18" sheets at the local Hobby Lobby.
- One boy made this cucumber with the sombrero to decorate his room. He was inspired by a favorite video clip in which Larry from VeggieTales sings a Silly Song. He needed a bit of help with the cutting, but was able to design it on his own.
