Easter Egg Design Card

This Easter egg design card is made with a real egg. How egg-cellent!

What you'll need:
- Design cardstock (use a simple print to copy the design)
- Solid color cardstock
- Paint (various colors to match design cardstock)
- Scissors
- Paint brush
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Egg (1)
- Boa (4" long)
- Glue gun
- Double-side padded tape
How to make it:
Step 1: CARD
- Cut out a 6" W x 12" L piece of design cardstock
- Fold cardstock in half so it is now a square.
- Cut out a 3¾" W x 3¾L piece of solid colored cardstock.
Step 2: MAKING THE EGG DESIGN
- Take one egg and make a round quarter-size hole in center.
- Empty out inside of egg.
- Carefully wash and dry egg.
- Place eggs in pan on stove and bring to a boil. Boil 2 minutes. Note: This step was provided by our local County Extension Food Economist to eliminate salmonella.
- Paint design of cardstock on egg using same colors.
Step 3: MAKING THE CARD
- Place double-sided padded tape on one side of 3¾" W x 3¾" L piece of solid colored cardstock
- Center and placed on front of design card.
- Glue painted egg on front, center of card.
- Glue feather boa piece around egg.
Tips:
- Replace real egg shell with wooden egg.
