Paste together this felt Jigglypuff and your new Pokemon friend will be happy to hang on your bedroom door, your Christmas tree or even on a birthday gift.
What you'll need:
- 2" flat round paper mache shape with hanger
- Pink craft paint
- Paint brush
- Green felt
- White felt
- Light pink felt
- Bright pink felt
- Black felt
- Scissors
- Black thin line permanent marker
- Ruler
- Tacky glue
How to make it:
- Paint the papier-mache shape pink. Let dry.
- Cut two 1/8" circles out of white felt.
- Cut two 1/2" circles out of green felt.
- Cut two 3/4" circles out of white felt.
- Glue the layers together to make the eyes (see photo).
- Glue eyes to the Jigglypuff.
- Cut two long ovals (1/2 x 1 1/8") out of light pink felt.
- Cut two long ovals (1/4 x 7/8") out of bright pink felt.
- Glue the layers together to make the feet (see photo).
- Glue feet to the Jigglypuff.
- Cut two arms (1/8 x 3/4") out of light pink felt. Glue to body one in front and one behind the body.
- Cut one oval out of light pink felt (3/4 x 1 1/2"). Cut the oval in half to create the two ears.
- Cut the rounded ends into a more pointed end. (see photo)
- Cut one oval out of black felt (1/2 x 1"). Cut the oval in half to create the inside of the two ears.
- Cut the rounded ends into a more pointed end. (see photo)
- Glue the layers together to make the ears.
- Glue the ears behind the Jigglypuff (see photo).
- Cut an oval (3/4 x 1") out of light pink felt to make the "hair". Look at photo to see how to make a small cut out of the "hair" to create the look.
- Use the black marker to draw the swirl of the hair. Glue it on the top.
- Cut a mouth out of bright pink felt that measurs 1/4 x 5/8". Glue on the Jigglypuff.
Tips:
You can use cardboard for the body of the Jigglypuff. If you do, then take a piece of ribbon and loop it and glue to the back to use as the hanger.
