Add a splash of color to a plain glass ornament and you get these elegant Marbled Glass Ornaments for your kids to hang on the tree or give as gifts.
What you'll need:
- 2 5/8 inch round clear glass ornaments
- Assorted colors of water based acrylic paints (including metallic)
How to make it:
- Remove the tops of the glass ornaments by squeezing the hanger and lifting off the top.
- Shake the first color very well and then hold the glass ball at a 45 degree and rest the tip of the paint on the lip of the ball.
- Squeeze a little of the paint and watch it begin to slide down the side of the ball. Try not to put too much paint in the ball.
- Turn the ball and add another line of the same color on the opposite side.
- Continue by adding lines of two other colors.
- Lay the ball on its side and rotate it every hour.
- Continue rotating the balls for about a day.
- Drain the excess paint out of the balls and recap the ornaments.
