Add a splash of color to a plain glass ornament and you get these elegant Marbled Glass Ornaments for your kids to hang on the tree or give as gifts.

What you'll need:

  • 2 5/8 inch round clear glass ornaments
  • Assorted colors of water based acrylic paints (including metallic)

How to make it:

  1. Remove the tops of the glass ornaments by squeezing the hanger and lifting off the top.
  2. Shake the first color very well and then hold the glass ball at a 45 degree and rest the tip of the paint on the lip of the ball.
  3. Squeeze a little of the paint and watch it begin to slide down the side of the ball. Try not to put too much paint in the ball.
  4. Turn the ball and add another line of the same color on the opposite side.
  5. Continue by adding lines of two other colors.
  6. Lay the ball on its side and rotate it every hour.
  7. Continue rotating the balls for about a day.
  8. Drain the excess paint out of the balls and recap the ornaments.
