Easter Egg Mosaic Card

Difficulty: Average

A fun card to make using leftover Easter egg shells.

Parental supervision is recommended.

What you'll need:

  • Leftover dyed Easter egg shells, broken
  • Construction paper, pink or another color
  • White cardstock or construction paper
  • Glue (like Elmer's school glue)
  • Egg cookie cutter, optional
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Markers, crayons, or colored pencils

How to make it:

  1. Trace around an egg cookie cutter on the colored construction paper. Cut out. Note: If you can free hand a shape you won't need the cookie cutter.
  2. Put a coat of glue on the construction paper egg.
  3. Place pieces of egg shell on the paper, colored side up. Let dry.
  4. Cut a piece of cardstock or construction paper twice the width of the egg and slightly taller than the egg.
  5. Fold the paper in half and glue the mosaic egg to the front of it.
  1. Write a greeting and sign the card. Some ideas for greetings might be: "Happy Easter" or "You crack me up".
  2. Give to your Mother, Aunt, Grandmother, or Sunday School teacher. Note: Do not mail this card!
