Native American-style Costume for Babies
Difficulty: Average
Parental supervision is recommended

Celebrate an ancient heritage at Halloween with this Native American-style infant costume.
What you'll need:
- Scissors
- Bathrobe, size 3 Toddler
- Fleece
- 2 Feathers
- Hot glue gun
- Baby shoes
- Sewing machine and matching thread
How to make it:
- Cut the sleeves of the bathrobe to come to the child's elbow.
- Cut a piece of fleece about four inches long to fit around the bottom of the sleeve.
- Sew fleece on using a straight stitch.
- Cut the fleece from the bottom up toward the stitching to create fringe (no sewing necessary).
- Repeat above steps for other sleeve.
- Cut the bathrobe off at the child's knees.
- Cut a piece of fleece about six inches long to fit around the bottom of the bathrobe.
- Sew the fleece on using a straight stitch.
- Cut the fleece from the bottom up toward the stitching to create fringe (no sewing necessary).
- Cut a strip of fleece about four inches wide and long enough to use as a tie around the waist (with the ends falling to about knee height).
- Cut a strip of fleece about two inches wide and long enough to use as a tie around the head.
- Add two feathers to the headband with the hot glue.
- Cover a pair of baby shoes with the fleece by tracing it onto the fabric. I made the fabric taller so I could fringe with scissors and fold down to look like a moccasin.
