For Easy Kid's Obama Flag (see image):
- Cut ½” wide strips from the red construction paper the full length of the paper.

- Print out the Obama stencil patterns [1, 2], one for his name and the other of his portrait.

Allow to dry completely.
For Obama Stencil on Fabric (see image):
- Print out the Obama portrait stencil pattern.
- Take a piece of wax paper and overlay it on top of the template.
- Using a pen, trace the outline of the template onto the wax paper.
- Using a craft knife, cut out the shapes shaded in black. (Note: Craft knives are sharp! Young children should let an adult complete this step.)
- Place your wax paper template onto your fabric.
- Apply stencil paint to your sponge brush. Carefully sponge on the color on the areas with holes in your wax paper template, applying your paint to the fabric. The wax paper will protect the areas where no paint is to be applied. You can switch colors for the head, tie, and suit jacket.
- Carefully lift the wax paper from the fabric.
- Allow for the stencil paint to dry for 24-48 hours.
