Put a new twist on an old game with this Pokémon ring toss craft. It's the perfect game for Poké-birthday parties and you can also use the figures to decorate your Poké-maniac's room.

What you'll need:

  • Pikachu, Polywhirl, Chansey or any other Pokémon characters (see the How To Make It section)
  • Corrugated cardboard or corrugated plastic sheets (any color)
  • Sharp scissors
  • 2 round objects that can be traced for the inside & outside of the ring
  • Pen

How to make it:

  1. Create your own Pokémon characters out of Kool-Aid canisters, or use of our designs. You can choose from Chansey, Pikachu, or Poliwhirl.
  2. Make sure the smallest round object you have is still quite a bit larger than the Pokémon characters so that it is not too difficult to throw the ring around them.
  3. Trace around the largest round object onto the cardboard or corrugated plastic. Cut out as many circles as you would like to have rings.
  4. Place the smaller round object in the middle of the circle you cut out. Trace around it. Cut out the middle of the circle.
  5. Line up your Pokémon characters and play a game of Ring Toss!

Tips:

Corrugated plastic is made by several manufacturers. It is known as Stratocore or Coreplast, along with other names. I found 24"x18" sheets at our local Hobby Lobby. I found that if I purchased it from a signage store it was cheaper as long as I was going to make several projects out of it.
