What you'll need:
- 2 large pink pom poms
- 2 small wiggle eyes
- 1 large pink foam heart
- 2 medium pink foam hearts
- 1 medium red foam heart
- 1 small pink foam heart
- 2 medium pink foam circles
- 1 miniature purple pom pom
- White craft glue or hot glue gun
- Valentine message on a slip of paper (optional)
How to make it:
- Place large pink foam heart on table and glue one of the large pink pom poms to it, allowing the rounded tops of the heart to stick out as the feet.
- Glue the second large pink pom pom to the top of the first one.
- Glue 2 medium pink hearts on as ears.
- Glue pink circles to the sides of the lower pom pom as paws.
- Glue the red heart to the tummy.
- Glue the miniature purple pom pom to the center of the humps on the small pink heart.
- Glue the small pink heart to the face.
- Glue wiggle eyes above the small pink heart.
- If you like, write a Valentine message on a slip of paper and glue it to the bottom of the large heart (feet).
Tips:
- White craft glue works great on craft foam. Hot glue is always faster, so either one will work well for this project.
- Pom poms and foam shapes can be purchased in value packs as well as holiday themed packs.
- Glue a magnet to the bottom of the feet and your critter will stick to your teacher’s file cabinet!
