Smiley antenna ball

Difficulty: Average

Parental supervision is recommended

Put a happy face on your car or van with a Smiley antenna ball. This is a craft that kids will take satisfaction in seeing whenever they're in the car. It's also a good aid for finding vehicles in crowded parking lots.

What you'll need:

  • Nerf Ballistic Ball (is yellow and comes in refill packs)
  • 2 Wiggle Eyes (5/8")
  • Red craft foam sheet
  • Black permanent marker
  • "527 Multi-Purpose Cement"
  • Ice pick or thin phillips screwdriver

How to make it:

  1. Glue on the 2 wiggle eyes.
  2. You may have to hold the eyes on for awhile until glue starts to set. The glue is very slippery.
  3. Cut lips out of a scrap of red craft foam.
  4. Use the black permanent marker to draw on the line for the lips.
  5. Glue the lips on.
  6. You may have to hold the lips on for awhile until glue starts to set. The glue is very slippery.
  7. Let dry overnight.
  8. Use an ice pick and poke up through the bottom of the ball.
Note: Do not poke a hole all the way through. It is designed to sit on top of the antenna.
  9. Try the ball on the antenna.
