Sea-salty dough can become beautiful decorations for weddings or other family events. Let your kids sculpt away with this attractive and versatile craft.
What you'll need:
- Homemade salt dough recipe
- Rolling pin or glass
- Knife
- Ribbon
How to make it:
- Make a flour/salt/water/clove oil recipe. (I'm one of those who doesn't follow the recipe exactly. I've noticed climate changes change the way it dries, so I make slight adjustments as necessary.)
- Roll it out.
- Use a sharp knife to cut out shapes to hang.
- To hang the decorations, I've bought old fishermen's nets (they are taupe rather than black - and they match my dress), and I will glue ribbon to the back of the ornament, tie it through the net
and make a decorative bow.
