Tent Card

This card is a great gift for outdoorsmen of all ages. It makes a great project for kids to create for Father's Day, or an imaginative way for campers or cub scouts to send a card to their folks at home.

How to make it:
Step 1:
- Trace and cut out all cardstock patterns (Found on Pattern 1 and Pattern 2).
- Trace and cut out all fabric patterns (Pattern 2).
- Trace and cut out mosquito net pattern (Pattern 3).
Step 2:
- Place mosquito net at left edge on front of tent card.
- Glue side edges of mosquito net to tent card and cut down the middle of net.
- Glue two (2) 1/½” L pieces of string to each side of net on front of card and tie back.
Step 3:
- Glue tent fabric shape on the right-hand side of the tent card using glue stick.
- Glue 1/8” W x 6” L strip to the left side edge of tent card.
- Place three (3) craft brads on bottom corners of tent fabric.
- Glue fabric canopy shape and canopy card stock shape together.
Step 4:
- Hammer two (2) eyelets to bottom corners of canopy.
- Glue-gun top of canopy to top of tent.
- Apply three (3) layers of double-sided padded tape under bottom of canopy.
- Thread 2½” L string through eyelets and tie them down to corner brads on tent.
- Cut off excess string.
Optional:
- Cut photo to fit the opening of the tent.
- Glue photo to the card.
Tips:
- You can substitute fabric for design paper.
