Flowers are a mainstay on Valentine's Day, but real flower fade and wilt. Make this pretty in pink bundle of tissue paper carnations, they will last forever!

How to make it:

1. Take two tissue paper rectangles and lay them one on top of the other so that that line up exactly.
2. Cut ½" wide slits along the long edge about half way up the tissue paper. (See image.)
3. Cut a one-inch piece off the chenille stem and set aside. (See image.)
4. Place the long piece of chenille in the center of the tissue paper rectangle, the slits should be at the top. (See image.)
5. Fold tissue paper in half, over the chenille stem, like a greeting card. (See image.)
6. Holding the chenille in place, roll the tissue paper up around the chenille. (See image.)
7. Hold tissue paper in place and wrap the small piece of chenille (that you trimmed off in step 3) around the tissue paper, below the slits. (See image.)
8. Fluff up the petals of the flower to your liking.
9. Repeat steps 1-8 for as many flowers as you like.
10. Gather flower stems together and tie bouquet together with a piece of white ribbon. (See image.)
    

Tips:

• Save tissue paper from birthday presents to use in craft projects.
• Chenille stems are available in a variety of colors, check for clearance sales after each holiday!
• Yarn may be used as a substitute for the ribbon.
