What you'll need:
- Lunch-size paper plate or poster board circle of that size
- Yellow poster paint
- Cardboard
- Red, white, and blue poster paint orfelt
- Star stickers
- Glue
- Craft eyes (optional)
- Marker to draw face
How to make it:
- Paint your paper plate with yellow poster paint.
- While the plate is drying, invite the kids to create a top hat out of cardboard. Paint it with red, white, and blue stripes or glue felt pieces in place.
- Decorate the hat with sticker stars.
- Glue or staple the hat onto the yellow circle.
- Draw in a great big smiley face.
